Jets Q&A: Leonhard frustrated by roughness penalty

What were Jim Leonhard's thoughts on his unnecessary- roughness penalty that aided the Broncos on their third-quarter touchdown drive and helped them take a 17-10 lead?
"I didn't feel like I led with my head," he said. "I didn't feel like I launched, I don't think I made contact with his helmet or my helmet. So we'll take a look at it and obviously the league will take a look at it. We'll see. I'll definitely appeal it if I get fined and we'll go from there."
Seemed as though he was pretty ticked off by the call, right?
"It's frustrating," Leonhard said. "You never want that to happen at a big point in the game, especially when you think it's questionable. So luckily it didn't hurt us today. They put it on JumboTron once, and I didn't think that I led with my head or anything like that. It'll all play out."
What did Braylon Edwards say about how he beat Champ Bailey on that 32-yard second-quarter touchdown toss from Mark Sanchez?
"We've been running that play and what's basically going on is Mark just saying, 'Just run.' The play is intended for Dustin [Keller] to get open. But if they go Cover 9 or Cover Zero, which they did, just get an outside influence on Champ, and then take off hard and just beat Champ or Perrish Cox to the upright. And that's what happened."
What was up with Denver's onside kick in the second quarter, which caught the Jets completely by surprise?
"The onside kick was strictly because this was the best team in football to run it against," Broncos coach Josh McDaniels said. "That's it. When they give you the opportunity, you take it. And they gave us the opportunity, like we studied on film, and it worked out exactly like we thought it would."
There was lot of talk about the Broncos' home-field advantage with the high altitude and crowd noise and all. Any validity to that?
"It was extremely tough," Keller said. "They have great fans. Their fans were loud at all the right times. When our offense was on the field, I couldn't hear Mark's cadence one time. So if you look at me, I'm over there trying to read his lips and then I have to go out and block this guy that I can't even see. They did a great job there. Then the air, oh, my God. Trying to breathe out there. I think me and Ben Hartsock had to rotate a little bit more for each other than normal because it was pretty exhausting out there."
Heard some chatter about Denver possibly letting LaDainian Tomlinson score on his 2-yard run that put the Jets ahead for good so the Broncos could get the ball back on offense. Is that accurate?
McDaniels summed it up with one word: "No."
Any early plans from the players on what they'll do during their bye this week?
"I think I'm going to take my whole check from last year and blow it," linebacker Bart Scott said. "I'm going to be a one-man stimulus package this week. I'm that happy."
Said wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery: "We get to take a vacation and I'm taking my family down to Puerto Rico. And I get to watch everybody else play while we sit at home at 5-1. So there is no feeling better than that."
