Fresh off a second consecutive AFC Championship Game appearance, the Jets Tuesday announced an average rise in ticket prices of 2.3 percent as well as a cut in some parking fees.

Also, the team said rather than asking season ticket holders to pay in full by April 1, as is customary, it will require 50 percent payment by then and the rest when the NFL announces a starting date for training camps.

Matt Higgins, executive vice president for business operations, said the change reflects the "period of uncertainty'' regarding the NFL labor situation.

Prices for seats in the upper deck will remain the same as in 2010, while non-club seats with personal seat licenses attached to them will rise by $5. Tickets in club sections, which were not sold out last season, also will see some increases, by differing amounts in various sections.

Higgins said the price to park in "orange'' lots will drop from $25 to $15, and that a limited number of fans who had been in them will be able to upgrade to "yellow'' lots at $25 per game.

Higgins said there will be some stadium alterations in response to fan input, including better protection from weather in the upper end zone concourse and more men's rest room facilities.
