The Jets announced Monday that they've re-signed free-agent long snapper Tanner Purdum.

According to his agent, Robert Roche, Purdum signed a two-year deal.

Earlier this week, the team announced they had re-signed fellow free agent, kicker Nick Folk. Now, the three major components of the Jets' special teams unit -- Purdum, Folk and punter Robert Malone -- are locked up for 2013.

Tanner expressed his enthusiasm on Twitter, writing: "Happy to resign with the NY Jets for another couple years! #ganggreen”
