Jets rookies Dexter McDougle and Shaq Evans are headed for surgery. Both players tweeted the news Tuesday morning:

— Smoove Cash (@SbsonDeck) August 19, 2014McDougle, a third-round cornerback, tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee on Aug. 10 – the same day fellow defensive back Dee Milliner suffered a high-ankle sprain. It’s the second season-ending injury for McDougle, who missed most of his senior year at Maryland because of a shoulder injury.
Jets coach Rex Ryan hinted several days ago that Evans was headed toward injured reserve.
