With the Jets facing a second-and-10 at the Giants' 19 late in the first half, rather than taking some of the open running room along the left side to help move them closer to the end zone, Mark Sanchez tried to connect with Plaxico Burress. But the wideout wasn't able to bring it in and was ruled out of bounds. Sanchez then was sacked for a 7-yard loss and Nick Folk missed a 44-yard field goal wide right as time expired in the half.
