Jets sign RB Griffin to active roster
The Jets promoted running back John Griffin from the practice squad to the active roster Friday
The former UMass product entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Cincinnati in July 2011, but was waived by the Bengals after the preseason. He joined the Jets as a reserve/future free agent in January, was waived during training camp and then signed to the practice squad on Nov. 5, 2012. Griffin rushed for 843 yards and five touchdowns on 168 carries during college.
