Get ready Long Island, the Jets are coming back. Well, for one day anyway.

The Jets yesterday announced snippets of their training camp schedule, which includes a quick pit stop at Hofstra's Shuart Stadium on Aug. 25. It'll mark the third straight year the Jets have held a training camp practice on the Island since 2008, when they moved to their Florham Park, N.J., facility. Practice is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. with activities scheduled before and after.

The Jets officially report to camp Sunday, with the first practice slated for Monday. There's public practice scheduled for Tuesday at a time to be determined. However, fans who attend that day won't get the chance to see veteran players practice because they can't do so until the expected ratification of the new collective bargaining agreement Aug. 4.

The Jets' entire camp schedule is expected to be released within the next day or two.
