Jets' turning point
The Jets’ offense was a mess all day but they were still were in the game early in the fourth quarter, and trailed 6-3 when Sam Darnold dropped back and short-armed a throw to Eric Tomlinson in his own territory. Dolphins rookie linebacker Jerome Baker picked it off and returned it 25 yards for the game's only touchdown in the Jets' 13-6 loss. Darnold said he “alligator-armed it and just threw it a little bit short.”
