Jets waive TE Brian Linthicum
The Jets waived tight end Brian Linthicum, general manager Mike Tannenbaum announced on Tuesday.
Linthicum had suffered a quadriceps injury during the Jets offseason workouts.
The 6-5, 245-pound rookie was signed by the Jets as an undrafted free agent. The 24-year-old began his college career at Clemson but transferred to Michigan State in 2009 and played three years there. Linthicum, in college, totaled 80 catches for 936 yards and six touchdowns.
With Linthicum out, the Jets now have 87 players on their 90-man training camp roster.
