Jets waive WR Mardy Gilyard

The Jets waived Mardy Gilyard on Monday, officially ending his second short-lived stint with the team.
The 6-1, 187-pound wide receiver was claimed off waivers by the Jets on Sept. 4, 2011 but was waived six days later. After separate stints with the Eagles, he signed with the Jets on Nov. 28.
He appeared in two games with the Jets, catching two passes for 15 yards.
