Johnson to visit Jets Monday
Former Raiders cornerback Chris Johnson will visit the Jets on Monday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Johnson, who spent the past five seasons in Oakland, was cut in March in an attempt by the team to free up cap space. (Johnson was due to earn a base salary of $3.5M this season)
The cornerback out of Louisville started 29 of 59 games during his tenure with the Raiders, but played in just four games last year, registering 12 tackles, four passes defended and one forced fumble.
Johnson has been hit hard in his personal life. For those of you unfamiliar with his story, check out this SI article, in which he opens up about juggling football and the recent murder of his sister.
