Josh McCown is in town visiting the Jets, according to multiple sources, and he brought along someone special: his wife.

The addition of Mrs. McCown is a strong indication that the free-agent quarterback is interested in joining the Jets — a team with plenty of inexperience in its quarterback room — and possibly relocating to New Jersey.

McCown, who will turn 38 in July, has played for seven NFL teams since 2002. He was released by the Browns last month after spending two seasons with Cleveland, where he went 1-10 as a starter. He’s 18-42 in 60 career starts.

The Jets are eager to add a veteran who can serve as the 2017 starter or compete with Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg for the job.

McCown, who arrived in New Jersey on Friday, is familiar with Jets quarterbacks coach Jeremy Bates. The two spent time in Chicago when McCown was the backup for Jay Cutler.

Cutler also is on the Jets’ free-agent radar and reportedly is expected to visit Florham Park in the near future.
