The Jets announced cornerback Antonio Cromartie and safety LaRon Landry have been selected as reserves and left guard D'Brickashaw Ferguson (2nd), center Nick Mangold (3rd) and KR/RB Joe McKnight (3rd) have been named as alternates.

"It's good man," Cromartie said on a conference call Wednesday evening. "It's a great individual accomplishment. But for me, I rather be playing in the playoffs."

The cornerback, who filled in admirably in the absence of Darrelle Revis, said this was his best season because of his consistent play. According to Cromartie, his 2012 campaign is even better than his 2007 season, in which he had 10 interceptions.

We've still got a little while before the NFL Pro Bowl selections are announced, but one Jets name has already been leaked thanks to Twitter.

Safety LaRon Landry apparently has been selected to the 2013 team, according to NFL agent David Canter

Rex Ryan seemed convinced cornerback Antonio Cromartie, who last week was named team MVP, would be selected.
