Mike Goodson's season is over.

The running back tweeted the news Monday morning, writing: "MRI Shows that I Tore My MCL and ACL yesterday..... Not to[sic] happy right now But Everything Happens for a reason! #LetGoAndLetGod."

It's been a rocky season for Goodson, who was reinstated last week after serving a four-game suspension stemming from his offseason arrest. His first game back was the Jets' improbable win over the Falcons in Week 5.

He suffered the ACL injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 19-6 loss to the Steelers, after he was drilled trying to make a tackle on Geno Smith's second interception. Goodson, known best for his speed, had to be helped off the field and couldn't put any weight on his injured leg.

Goodson, who signed a three-year deal worth $6.9 million in March, was expected to give the Jets' a boost in both the running game and on special teams. But now, the Jets will have to make do without him.

In all, four Jets were injured in the game: Goodson, fellow running back Bilal Powell (shoulder), cornerback Kyle Wilson (head) and receiver Clyde Gates (shoulder).
