The Jets have had a very busy offseason, trading for Antonio Cromartie and Santonio Holmes and signing the likes of free agent future Hall of Famers LaDainian Tomlinson and Jason Taylor.

So my wife and I figured, "It's about that time to make our own moves."

With that, precisely around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and not long after the New York metro area was awarded the 2014 Super Bowl, the Boone family doubled. My wife gave birth to our twin girls, with one checking in at 4.6 pounds and 17 inches long while the roster stats for the other will list her at 4.3 pounds and 16.5 inches long.

The girls and mom are doing well, definitely better than dad since he's running around like someone just knocked the head clear off Colonel Sanders' next piece of chicken. But I'd like to thank all those who offered their congrats when I made the announcement on Twitter on Tuesday. You're too kind.

As if this season wasn't going to be interesting enough anyway covering the Jets, things just got a wee bit more crazy with twins -- girls, no less -- in the house.

Speaking of those very Jets, for those wondering when the their next availability session is, it takes place later today. Greg Logan will bring you all the details, so stop on back by for some news and notes regarding the team that's already among the favorites to play in Super Bowl XLV.
