NFL looks into Favre's texting

The NFL is investigating allegations that Brett Favre sent explicit text messages and photos to former Jets sideline reporter Jenn Sterger when Favre was with the Jets during the 2008 season.

"We are reviewing the matter," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Friday.

The website deadspin.com first reported the existence of the text messages and photos and posted them Thursday. Asked about the matter Thursday at a news conference in Minnesota, Vikings quarterback Favre said: "I'm not getting into that. I've got my hands full with the Jets [game Monday]."

Deadspin.com reported Friday night that two women massage therapists who worked for the team in 2008 said Favre also sent them inappropriate text messages.

It's uncertain what sanctions, if any, the NFL would impose on Favre or the Jets.
