Despite increased speculation that the Jets are closing in on a deal with holdout cornerback Darrelle Revis, there were strong indications late Tuesday that there was actually no movement on negotiations for a long-term contract.

Tim Cowlishaw of the Dallas Morning News said on his Twitter account Tuesday that Revis' agents, Jonathan Feinsod and Neil Schwartz, were scheduled to have a meeting last night with Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum. But according to a person familiar with the situation, there was no scheduled meeting. A report on AOL Fanhouse also suggested that the two sides were close to agreeing on a contract.

The Jets did not comment on the reports, citing a recent confidentiality clause agreed to by the team and the agents.
