The Jets took umbrage with Randy McMichael today, blasting the Chargers' tight end for his postgame comments yesterday.

McMichael said it was the Chargers who lost the game and the Jets didn't really win it, adding their secondary is nothing out of the ordinary.

"Their secondary isn’t anything," McMichael said after the Jets' 27-21 victory. "It’s our fault. It had nothing to do with anyone on their team. The guys in this locker room, we lost the game."

Antonio Cromartie fired the loudest salvo in response, taking a poke at his former team.

"When you're up by 11 points in the fourth quarter and you can't even finish the game up, that shows what kind of team you are -- a team that can't finish," he said. "That's been San Diego the whole time."

Darrelle Revis, who said McMichael was chatting it up the entire game, dismissed the guy who posted three receptions for 45 yards.

"He’s just a number. He’s No. 81," the All-Pro cornerback said. "We weren't focused on him. We were focused on Antonio Gates, who was the better right end."

"Nobody is worried about McMichaels, whatever his name is. McMichaels, McMichael. I don’t know his name."

Jim Leonhard said McMichael's words were "absolutely" a shot at the Jets' secondary and took his own shot back at McMichael.

"He’ll have fun watching the film today. We’ll just say that," the safety said. "He didn’t really do a whole lot yesterday. He’ll have fun. But they are a good football team. It was a great matchup. We did a great job. They burned us on third down in the first half and we locked them up in the second half.

"It was a back-and-forth and that’s why the score was what it was and we ended up making plays in the third and fourth quarter that provided us that win."

When asked about McMichael's comments, Rex Ryan's response was short and sweet.

"Stay classy, San Diego," he cracked.
