Rex Ryan: Percy Harvin has severe ankle sprain
According to Rex Ryan, Jets receiver Percy Harvin recently suffered a "third-degree'' ankle sprain, the most severe type because it involves a complete ligament tear.
Harvin played through the injury in Sunday's 16-11 win at Tennessee, rushing once for 10 yards. He did not practice Wednesday, although Ryan said "he's doing well.''
Harvin said Wednesday he had no doubts about playing last week, and plans to play Sunday against the Patriots.
"It's feeling real good,'' he said of the ankle. "Definitely a lot better than I felt last week. I think I should be able to get out there tomorrow and be full go.''
Harvin expects Darrelle Revis to cover him. "He's, if not one of the best corners, he's definitely in the top three,'' he said. "So any time there's a matchup like that, I'm licking my chops.''
Woody's big whoops
Woody Johnson accidentally favorited the following tweet calling for general manager John Idzik's firing: "@woodyjohnson you really need to #FireIdzik at this point. The roster is garbagio.''
It took a while before Johnson noticed his social-media slip-up, and he immediately took to Twitter. "Have to be more careful when scrolling through my Twitter feed,'' he wrote Tuesday at 10:49 p.m. "The tweet I most recently favorited was inadvertent.''

Muhammad Wilkerson (turf toe) had a setback last week when someone stepped on the toe. He was limited in practice, as were Willie Colon (knee) and Jaiquawn Jarrett (shoulder). Antonio Allen (hand) and Nick Folk (hip) were full . . . Told that Ryan called him a "first-ballot Hall of Famer,'' Bill Belichick said: "It sounds like Rex is buttering me up.''
