Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, who is nursing an injury to his throwing shoulder, was among the players listed as "limited" in Tuesday's Jets practice. But Sanchez wasn't nearly as limited as he was in Sunday's game against Buffalo, when he retired after one series spent handing off to his running backs.

"We still limited his throws, but I thought he was bouncing around pretty good," Ryan said. "He even looked better as the practice went on to me…When he's in a game, he can zip it like he always does."

Sanchez was replaced in the Buffalo game by Mark Brunell and eventually Kellen Clemens, who played well in a 38-7 rout of the Bills. Ryan said the measure of success for the offense is the number of rushes combined with the number of pass completions. He saw the number 58 and thought that was pretty good before he noticed the unusual breakdown.

"Then, I saw it was 50 rushes and eight completions," Ryan said with a laugh. "Every old school coach in America says, 'That's what I'm talking about.' But I believe we're going to have to throw a little bit more this week."

Although he wasn't required by the league to divulge injury information today, Ryan offering what he called a "bonus injury report." The only player who did not practice was defensive tackle Trevor Pryce, but Ryan said he should be fine by game time. Besides Sanchez, other limited players included CB Darrelle Revis, LB Bryan Thomas, DL Sione Pouha, S James Ihedigbo and OT Damien Woody, who is attempting to come back from a sprained knee.

"He was out there today running with the 'ones' for some reps," Ryan said of Woody.

Previously injured players who practiced fully included CB Antonio Cromartie, DL Shaun Ellis, WR Santonio Holmes, C Nick Mangold, OT Matt Slauson, S Eric Smith and OT Robert Turner.
