Santonio Holmes: Allegations I got paid are false
Santonio Holmes, who was named by former agent Josh Luchs in a Sports Illustrated story as having been paid by another, unnamed agent while at Ohio State, denied ever being paid or having met Luchs.
"I don't know him, I never met him, I don't care to know him," Holmes said today. "The allegations made were false. It's something that was thrown out there to further tarnish my career."
Holmes said the story being out would not cause any problems now.
"I've had distractions before," Holmes said. "I've never let it bother my career."
