FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Sheldon Richardson suffered a hamstring injury in Thursday's loss to the Bills, and it's unclear if it will sideline him this week.

"He was hurt," coach Todd Bowles said when asked if Richardson was limited on Thursday, "but he's a warrior. He's going to play through some of that stuff so I don't think it hindered him too much. In the second half, I saw a few plays where he was a little gimpy."

Asked if Richardson's sore hamstring will keep him out against Houston, Bowles said: "Too early to tell right now."

Secondary chances

Safety Calvin Pryor (high ankle sprain) insists he'll play, but Bowles wants to see more. "I'll believe him after Wednesday and Thursday," he said of the safety, who hasn't played since Week 7. Bowles also said cornerback Antonio Cromartie is doing "a lot better" and "moving around" after missing the Bills game because of a deep thigh bruise, but he's still "a little sore."

A chance to study

The Jets got a live look at their next opponent, the Texans, who played in Cincinnati Monday night. "It's the next opponent, so you're going to see what they're trying to do heading into the game," Bowles said. "Eventually you still have to go back and watch the game the next day and try and get an overall grasp of the picture."

Jet streams

Quincy Enunwa was reinstated after serving a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. The Jets were given a roster exemption for him, but they'll make a corresponding roster move by week's end . . . Receiver Titus Davis was signed to the practice squad and receiver Shane Wynn was released.
