With Shonn Greene (skin infection) out for Sunday’s game, except to see a lot of LaDainian Tomlinson early on against Cincinnati.

“I don’t think he’ll get 22 carries, but we’ll let LT go for a quarter,” head coach Rex Ryan said after the Jets’ morning walk-through.

Joe McKnight (concussion) is expected to play, despite wearing a red non-contact jersey during Wednesday’s practice. He’ll split time at running back with rookie Bilal Powell.

Backup quarterback Mark Brunell (finger) and Plaxico Burress (ankle) also will play vs. the Bengals. Guard Trevor Canfield (knee), Bart Scott (leg), nose tackle Sione Pouha (knee), defensive tackle Marcus Dixon (knee) and guard Brandon Moore (coach’s decision) are out.

The status of linebacker Calvin Pace (groin) and wide receiver Courtney Smith (ankle) is still uncertain, Ryan said. Both players will be re-evaluated after individual workouts this afternoon.

As of result of the mounting injuries, several young guys will get a chance to show their stuff. Vladimir Ducasse will start in place of Moore, Josh Mauga will take Scott's place, and both Kenrick Ellis and Martin Tevaseu will share Pouha's duties.

But don't be too concerned with the ever-growing injury list, Jets fans. Ryan said these guys would play if it were the regular season. Plus, he expect Greene to be fine by next week.
