Mark Sanchez could be an Eagle by tomorrow.
The former Jets quarterback already is in Philly, according to a source, and is scheduled to meet with the team and undergo his physical tomorrow.
And if his medical evaluation checks out, the Eagles are expected to sign him.
Sanchez missed all of last season after suffering a torn labrum in his right (throwing) shoulder in the preseason during garbage time of the Jets' Snoopy Bowl game against the Giants. His contract with the Jets officially was terminated at 4 p.m. Monday -- leaving him free to sign with any team of his choosing.
ESPN reported Monday that Sanchez's deal with the Eagles was imminent.
The veteran QB, who is set to enter his sixth season in the NFL, had a rollercoaster career with the Jets. After reaching the AFC Championship Game in his first two years (2009 and 2010), Sanchez's career nosedived as the organization began to strip away offensive talent. His season-ending shoulder injury last season -- and his extremely high cap number for 2014 -- sealed his fate with the franchise.
It didn't take the Jets long for to move on from Sanchez. Shortly after making the Sanchez move, they announced they had signed former Eagles QB Michael Vick for the 2014 season.
And by tomorrow, the Jets and Eagle's QB swamp could be complete.
