Could Osi Umenyiora be headed back to New Jersey?

The former Giants defensive end and two-time Super Bowl champion visited the Jets Wednesday, a source confirmed to Newsday.

It's no secret the Jets are in the market for pass rushers, and if signed, Umenyiora would add much-needed depth in Todd Bowles' revamped defense.

Though he was a force for the Giants for several years, Umenyiora, 33, is coming off a disappointing season in Atlanta. He registered just 21/2 sacks and 12 tackles in his second season with the Falcons.

During his heyday with the Giants, Umenyiora racked up 75 sacks in nine seasons.

The Jets also hosted another former Giant Wednesday. Offensive lineman James Brewer visited, along with linebacker Jamari Lattimore, 26. Brewer, 27, has experience playing guard and right tackle for the Giants, but his production was minimal. He made eight starts in 2013 and played in just two games last season.

According to a source, speedy wide receiver Denarius Moore, 26, is scheduled to visit Thursday. He caught 17 touchdown passes in four seasons with the Raiders.
