Sources confirmed Thursday that first-round pick Quinton Coples has agreed to a fully-guaranteed four-year deal with a team option for a fifth. The DE from UNC -- who was taken 16th overall in April's draft -- is expected to earn just shy of what No. 15 pick Bruce Irvin agreed to: a $9.3M deal (with a $5.2M signing bonus).
The Jets signed S Antonio Allen to a four-year deal on Thursday, a source told Newsday.
The total deal is $2.145 million -- which is the NFL minimum salaries for years 1-4, plus a $45,896 signing bonus.
The Jets used one of their compensatory picks to select Allen with the 242nd overall pick. The 6-1, 210-pounder from South Carolina led the Gamecocks defense with 88 tackles, three interceptions and a sack last season.
