Darrelle Revis is human after all.

That is the message Jets coach Rex Ryan delivered Sunday after being questioned about the less-than-Pro Bowl-caliber job that Revis did on Buffalo Bills receiver Stevie Johnson.

Revis hasn't been tested much this season. That's because most teams choose to shy away from the area of the field that the Jets' Pro Bowl cornerback is covering. The Bills, however, broke with tradition, testing Revis early and often in their 28-24 loss.

Johnson, a talented young receiver, often got the best of Revis. The most dramatic instance of this came in the second quarter when, with a 5-yard catch, he became the first player to score on Revis all season.

"He's human," Ryan said. "He's still way better than any corner in football -- head and shoulders better. I'm not going to say that the kid got the best of him. I think he's a great talent, but he never got the best of Revis."

Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick said he felt he didn't throw to Johnson enough when the the teams met earlier in the season, so he went into the game looking to target him frequently.

"I let Stevie know when it's one-one-one, I'm throwing to you every time," Fitzpatrick said.

Johnson was targeted 13 times and finished with eight receptions for 75 yards.

Revis said the Jets played more cover zero, which is man-to-man coverage with no deep safety.

"When you run a lot of zero, it's tough," he said. "I'm the guy who usually does that job, and I'm up for it. When Rex calls my number to do a certain coverage, that's what I do. But it's tough.

"Was this my best performance personally? No. People have scored touchdowns on me. People have caught balls. I just have to get back to what I do and keep moving on."
