Tebow 'looks good' for Monday night
“I feel good about him,” the coach said of Tebow, who has been sidelined because of two fractured ribs. “He practiced well again today. So he looks good and he’ll be ready to go on Monday.”
On Thursday, Ryan said Tebow would not be used in the Wildcat or in punt protection, but the next day he said the backup quarterback may resume his customary roles against the Titans.
The wide receiver, who suffered a concussion in their Thanksgiving night-loss to the Patriots, still has one more test to pass before he can return to action. After sitting out of practice all week, Ryan said Gates was limited on Saturday. Still, it’s unclear when he’ll be able to suit up.
“I’m not real sure,” said the coach. “…But the fact that he was out there in a limited role, that was encouraging. It looks like he’s running well, so that’s encouraging. Obviously you’d like to have him up with the kind of speed and athleticism that he has. But we’ll see. I think he has one more test to pass before the next step.”
