The Jets finalized the signings of six players Sunday, including a one-year deal with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater that could be worth $15 million with incentives.

Bridgewater arrived in the metropolitan area Thursday night and underwent an extensive physical over the weekend, with team officials trying to make sure his surgically repaired left knee is sound.

Bridgewater missed nearly two seasons recovering from a torn ACL and a dislocated kneecap suffered in August 2016 during a non-contact training camp drill with the Vikings. He was cleared by the Vikings’ medical staff and participated in only one game last season, replacing Case Keenum in Week 15 against the Bengals and throwing two passes.

Now he’s with the Jets as the backup to 38-year-old Josh McCown.

“It’s a young team, an ambitious team,’’ Bridgewater told the Jets’ website. “The coaching staff has positive energy, great energy, and I think that with the combination of the talent that’s on the team, that’s something special to be a part of.”

In addition to the Bridgewater signing, the Jets announced that three starters officially joined the team. Inside linebacker Avery Williamson, who will replace leading tackler Demario Davis, signed a three-year deal worth $22.5 million. Center Spencer Long signed a four-year, $28-million deal, and cornerback Morris Claiborne returned to the Jets on a one-year contract worth $7 million.

A pair of backups, defensive tackle Mike Pennel and safety Terrence Brooks, also signed their contracts Sunday.

The first week of free agency was busy for the Jets. After missing out on top free-agent target Kirk Cousins, the team brought back McCown, who signed a one-year, $10-million deal. The Jets also added Trumaine Johnson, one of the better cornerbacks on the free-agent market, for a total package of $72 million, and a potential starting running back in Isaiah Crowell, coming off a career-high 206 carries with the Browns.

The biggest move came Saturday morning, when the Jets swapped spots in the first round of the draft with the Colts. They moved from No. 6 to No. 3 and gave up three second-round picks, two in 2018 and one in 2019, for the right to get one of the top quarterbacks.
