Just before Rex Ryan addressed the media Monday, a Jets spokesman announced Darrelle Revis has a mild concussion.

The coach had little details about his star cornerback's condition -- or his availability for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh.

"What I'll say is, with me, I'll always lean on our trainers and our doctors," he said. "With any injury at all, but especially a head injury, you're going to err on the side of caution. We'll see how he progresses during the week."

Per NFL protocol, Revis has to undergo concussion testing before he can be ruled eligible to play against the Steelers.

After the game, multiple outlets (including Newsday) reported the cornerback was fine, per sourced information. But Ryan said he heard the news of Revis' condition Monday morning.

Revis, who recorded the first of three Bills interceptions Sunday, took an inadvertent kick to the head from Bart Scott in the fourth quarter, while he was sprawled out on the ground. The star cornerback was slow to get up and was attended to on the sideline.

The Jets did not give a post-game medical update, and per league protocol, Revis was not made available to the media afterward.

A Jets spokesman said Monday that until Revis is able to do normal activities (i.e., running, lifting) he will not be made available to media.
