Restricted free agent running back/kick returner Leon Washington will sign his one-year, $1.759 million tender Thursday.
Washington, recovering from a broken right leg suffered in the Jets' 38-0 win in Oakland Oct. 25, has opted to stay away from the Jets' voluntary offseason workouts and instead reportedly has been training at Athletes Performance Institute in Pensacola, Fla., since the Jets tendered him.
Of the Jets' eight restricted free agents, Washington, who's expected to be ready to go by training camp, is the last one to sign his tender. Reserve cornerback Drew Coleman signed his tender Wednesday.
