Week 10 NFL picks: Bills vs. Jets

Do you find it off-putting when radio stations play Christmas music in November? Well, you might want to tune in your radio tonight to the Jets-Bills game instead of watching it on TV, because the two teams are wearing green and red uniforms that are so bright even Santa Claus might look away.

It's all part of a "Color Rush'' campaign, the first of four Thursday Night NFL games featuring alternate uniforms. Speaking of bright red, you think Rex Ryan circled this game on his calendar? The former Jets coach makes his first return to Met Life Stadium to take on the anti-Rex, Todd Bowles.

With the unbeaten Patriots running away with the AFC East, this is a huge game for both teams if they want to earn a wild-card berth. I wasn't really sure who to take . . . until the news broke on Monday that Rex had named IK Enemkpali a captain for tonight's game. IK is the former Jet who broke Geno Smith's jaw back in training camp and was promptly cut. Rex and Buffalo signed him the next day. Does Rex hold Smith responsible for him getting fired or something? I'm all for gamesmanship, but I think this is crossing the line.

Bowles probably just laughed it off, but I'm sure Jets players aren't happy. This should be a slugfest, two division rivals that are, at best, average teams. The Jets don't have a win against a team with a winning record, and are dealing with many injuries. The Bills got back to .500 last week, but they're 0-3 following a win this season, and that inconsistency is a red flag.

I already thought the Jets would be excited to play against Rex, but after his latest antics they'll be even more amped. Take the Jets, and you'll be seeing green. Rex? He will be as red as those uniforms.
