1. SACHEM EAST FIELD HOCKEY

The Flaming Arrows extended their win streak to 40 games, but they were tested in close games by Ward Melville and Smithtown East. Cara Trombetta scored in a 1-0 win against rival Ward Melville, and Katie Shanahan's goal lifted them to a 1-0 victory over Smithtown East. Sachem East will visit Garden City (10-0) on Saturday.

2. ST. ANTHONY'S BOYS SOCCER

The Friars scored 11 goals by seven different players in three games last week. After two dominating wins over CHSAA opponents Holy Trinity and St. Dominic earlier in the week, Michelangelo Sini's goal off an assist from captain Justin Carfora in the 18th minute gave the Friars a 1-0 win against Hicksville in non-league.

3. BABYLON FOOTBALL

Senior Eric Schweitzer helped Babylon erase a 14-0 deficit as the Panthers reeled off 29 straight points on the way to a 36-21 victory over Glenn. Schweitzer had 132 yards and three touchdowns. The Panthers have a school record 17-game winning streak.

4. HALF HOLLOW HILLS EAST GIRLS TENNIS

Ali Huber and Vanessa Scott led the way at first doubles as Hills East beat Hills West, 7-0, to extend its Suffolk winning streak to 48 matches and cap another perfect regular season. Hills East is 15-0.

5. ST. ANTHONY'S BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

The Friars won their home meet last weekend, taking the St. Anthony's Invitational with 38 points. Louis Santelli and Patrick Tucker placed 1-2 in the varsity 5K. Santelli won in 16:40.34. Tucker finished second in 16:43.30.

6. SOUTH SIDE GIRLS SOCCER

The defending state champions defeated Massapequa, 1-0, to hand their fellow Nassau powerhouse its first loss of the season. Kelsey Ford shined defensively and set up Keri Cavallo's winning goal.

7. MASSAPEQUA BOYS SOCCER

Brandon Merklin, Nick Bernhard and Brendan Raab shined on both sides of the field and helped Massapequa to two Conference AA-1 wins last week.

8. GARDEN CITY FIELD HOCKEY

The Trojans continued to roll, winning both of its games last week. Michaela Bruno had two assists, and Sabrina Milone made seven saves in a 2-0 victory over defending Nassau Class B champ Manhasset. Garden City swept the regular-season series. The Trojans have outscored their last seven opponents 42-0.

9. BELLMORE JFK BOYS VOLLEYBALL

The defending Division II state champion extended its winning streak to 35 matches with wins over Lawrence and Roslyn. Senior Gary Anderson was instrumental, racking up 17 assists in each match and coming away with 13 kills against Roslyn.

10. ST. ANTHONY'S FOOTBALL

After an season-opening loss, the Friars have ripped off five straight wins against CHSFL opponents, including a 41-0 romp over Holy Cross. Junior halfback Jordan Gowins had two touchdown runs of 8 and 30 yards in the first quarter.
