1. GLENN WRESTLING (remain at 1) The Knights crowned six champions as they won their third straight Suffolk League VI tournament title. Vinny Punzone (112 pounds), Nick Meinsen (130), Matt Gannon (135), Matt Fusaro (145), Nick Terdick (152) and Joe Giaramita (189). Meinsen and Fusaro won third consecutive league titles. Glenn won the tournament by 147.5 points over Rocky Point and look to defend the county title.

2. HALF HOLLOW HILLS WEST BOYS BASKETBALL
(remain at 2) Rolled over Riverhead without Tobias Harris and had their high-scoring forward back from a sickness in an easy win over West Babylon. The Colts conclude their League IV season with a home game against Bellport and a road game against Smithtown West on Wednesday.

3. HALF HOLLOW HILLS BOYS SWIMMING (up from 4) Hills has gone undefeated in dual meets and league championships for four straight years, winning the League I title with a score of 309. The team will try for its fourth straight county title. Hills won seven of the 12 events at the Suffolk League I championship, as standout Matt DeBlasio took first in the 100-yard backstroke (55.75) and 200 IM (1:58.37).

4. HAUPPAUGE WRESTLING (up from 5) Seven Eagles earned Suffolk League V titles; Mark West (96 pounds), Michael Ehlinger (125), Adam Lepkowsky (130), Kevin Panebianco (135), Anthony Piscitello (140), Jesse Marro (145) and Gennaro Bonaventura (189). Lepkowsky avenged a loss to Huntington's Maurice Loadholt with a 6-4 win in the final. It was their fifth straight league crown (three in League IV, two in League V).

5. LONGWOOD BOYS BASKETBALL (up from 6) The Lions remained undefeated in League I play at 11-0 with a 96-55 victory over Sachem East, its only game this week. They also remain the top-scoring team on Long Island at 84.5 points per game.

6. WARD MELVILLE GIRLS FENCING (up from 7) The girls won the Suffolk League I title with an undefeated 12-0 record and went on to capture the county team crown over the weekend. It was the ninth straight county title for the Patriots, who won 51 matches and had three fencers finish with a 7-0 record.

7. NORTH BABYLON GIRLS BASKETBALL (up from 8) Two easy league wins for the Bulldogs, who beat Centereach, 85-30, as Katrina Plummer had 18 of her 24 points in the first quarter and Bria Hartley had a career-high 13 assists. North Babylon beat West Islip, 101-24, as Hartley had 22 points and 13 assists and 8th-grader Charise Wilson added 13.

8. GREAT NECK SOUTH BOYS SWIMMING (up from 10) Great Neck South went undefeated in dual meets and won the league championship and county championship for the second straight year. They outscored Long Beach, 425-392.5 for the county title. Sam Mo was named outstanding swimmer after winning the 200-yard IM (1:55.87), 100-freestyle (48.08) and 400-freestyle relay (3:20.93).

9. PLAINVIEW GIRLS GYMNASTICS (not ranked last week) Plainview is making its BIG 10 debut after finishing the regular season with a 10-0 record with a win over previously unbeaten Oceanside to capture the Nassau Conference I title. Senior Victoria Vitale scored a season-high 35.15 in the all-around.

10. SACHEM EAST GIRLS BASKETBALL (not ranked last week): Kristen Doherty had 16 points and six rebounds as the Flaming Arrows clinched the Suffolk League I title with a 43-36 win over Ward Melville. Caitlin Hopkins had 10 points and 10 rebounds as they beat Longwood, 63-34, in the season finale.

ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Brigid Brennan, Northport: She won the 1,500 and 3,000-meters at Suffolk Large School girls track Championships.

Berfrantz Charles, North Babylon: He won the 55-meter dash and the long jump at the Suffolk Large School boys track Championships.

Peter Magliulo, Manhasset: Magliulo won the Nassau diving finals with a score of 429. He also finished first place in the regular season, scoring a high of 271.57.

Damon McQueen, Huntington: McQueen beat two-time All State performer Ken Collado, 7-0, in the 119-pound Suffolk League V final and was named the tournament's MOW. It was McQueen's second straight league title.

Brendan Fowler, Chaminade: The 215-pound senior earned his second NSCHSAA title by pinning Jason Sullivan of St. Anthony's in 3:51 in the final. Fowler was named MOW.

Myles Jones, Whitman: Had a pair of double-doubles in wins over Northport and Bay Shore. He scored 17 points and grabbed 17 rebounds against Northport.

Malik Jackson, Bay Shore: He scored 37 points, including 6 three-pointers, and added 10 rebounds and 4 blocks in a 62-55 victory over Central Islip.

Dennis Vamvakas, Herricks: He scored 25 points in a 64-59 OT win over Nassau Conference AA-II-leading Oceanside, as Herricks clinched a playoff berth.

Jack Wagner, Holy Trinity: He won the 200-freestyle in 1:42.61 at the CHSAA championships. He also won the 100-butterfly in 50.69 and just missed breaking the state record in both events.
