1.MOUNT SINAI BOYS LACROSSE

The top-seeded Mustangs knocked off No. 4 Islip in a Class C semifinal on Tuesday, May 24, to move to 17-0 on the season. The Mustangs will face No. 2 Shoreham-Wading River in the Suffolk C title game on Tuesday.

2. NORTHPORT GIRLS LACROSSE

The Tigers (18-1) defeated Ward Melville, 8-7, to win their third-straight Suffolk Class A title. They have outscored opponents, 271-132, this season with a multitude of offensive players. Kaylie Mackiewicz has 66 goals and 25 assists and Shannon Smith has 28 goals and 35 assists. Northport won the Long Island Class A championship with an 18-0 record last season.

3. CHAMINADE BASEBALL

The Flyers have met all expectations with a team that is loaded with Division I college talent. Lefty John Downing leads the way with an 8-0 record and an ERA under 0.60. He has been unhittable this season. Leadoff man Nick Ungania has keyed the offense. The Flyers are 21-1.

4. ST. ANTHONY’S BOYS LACROSSE

The Friars completed their season on May 17 with a 10-9 win over rival Chaminade to capture the state CHSAA AAA championship. St. Anthony's beat Chaminade in all three meetings this season.

5. ST. ANTHONY’S GIRLS LACROSSE

St. Anthony's (13-2) beat Sacred Heart, 17-5, to win their third straight CHSSA title. Ava Biancardi had 36 goals and five assists and Abigail LoCascio added 20 goals and 19 assists. St. Anthony's outscored opponents, 196-111. They played a tough national schedule and have impressive wins over Wantagh, Manhasset and Cold Spring Harbor.

6. ST. ANTHONY’S BOYS TRACK

They were the highest finishing Long Island team at Saturday’s CHSAA Intersectional championships on Randall’s Island, scoring 37 points and finishing second overall. Nicholas Lourenco cleared 16 feet, nine inches to win the pole vault and break his own state CHSAA record. St. Anthony’s 4 x 800-meter relay team won in 9:48.46.

7. ST. ANTHONY’S GIRLS TRACK

The Friars won the girls team championship with 67 points at the CHSAA Intersectional championships on Saturday. Marisa D’Angelo won the pole vault, clearing 12-7 and was named most outstanding field performer of the meet.

8. WANTAGH GIRLS LACROSSE

Wantagh beat South Side, 12-6, to advance to the Nassau Class C final as the top seed. Madison Taylor has dominated all over the field, including scoring 68 goals with 43 assists. Madison Alaimo has 60 goals and 41 assists for Wantagh (15-2). Wantagh plays Manhasset for the Nassau Class C title at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Adelphi.

9. COMMACK BOYS TRACK

They won the Suffolk AA championship last week. Andrew Rosenblatt won the 1,600 in 4:31.55 and the 3,200 in 9:36.03. Ejike Enougu won the 110-meter hurdles in 14.79.

10. BAY SHORE GIRLS TRACK

The Marauders won the Suffolk Class AA championship last week with 118 points. Mia Grassia won the 100-meter hurdles in 15.73 and the high jump, clearing 5-4.
