The Lions defeated Ward Melville in last year’s title game en route to a state championship.

2. GARDEN CITY GIRLS LACROSSE It comes as no surprise that the top-seeded Trojans will be playing for their sixth straight Nassau Class B title at 6 p.m. today at Hofstra against No. 2 Wantagh. They reached the final with a 17-5 win at home over No. 5 Plainedge behind three goals each from Katie D'Antonio and Caroline Tarzian.
