Lena Sorrentino, East Islip, bowling: She rolled a tournament-best 1,424 series to lead the Redmen to a second straight Suffolk championship.

Danielle Roca, Sewanhaka District, bowling: She had a 1,198 series as the Indians, runners-up the last two years, won the Nassau title.

Steve Hamlin, Farmingdale, bowling: He had a 1,385 series to lead the Dalers to the Nassau title, a year after finishing 19 pins short.

Mike Ruben, Middle Country, bowling: His 1,447 series was tops in the Suffolk championships and his 244 in Game 6 helped lead Middle Country's rally to win the title.

Jessica Ball, West Islip, track: Ball broke her own school record in the 1,000 (3:02.12) at the Suffolk Large Schools championship.

Ryan Cooney, Massapequa, track: He won the 3,200 in 10:11.2 in the Nassau Conference I meet as Massapequa swept the top three.

Heather Forster, Huntington, basketball: The freshman had career highs with 26 points and 25 rebounds in a 48-42 win over Comsewogue.

Lorenza Birt, Wyandanch, basketball: The senior recorded a career-high 27 points and grabbed 23 rebounds in a 71-64 win over Babylon.

Danielle Brusca, Bethpage, basketball: The senior had a career-high 36 points, including 5-for-6 from three-point range, plus seven assists in a 62-37 win over Hewlett.

Kelsey McGayhey, Shelter Island basketball: The senior scored 16 points, including her 1,000th career point, in a 41-22 win over Ross.

Kristen Polan, Westhampton, basketball: She scored 27 points, including a three to give Westhampton a 46-44 lead with one minute remaining in overtime, in a 47-46 win over Amityville.

Deasia Goodson, Freeport, basketball: She had 10 points, 10 rebounds and 12 blocks as Freeport upset Massapequa, 53-46.

Brooke Gerstman, Lynbrook, basketball: She had 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists as Lynbrook edged Floral Park, 49-44.

Bridgit Ryan, Harborfields, basketball: She had 23 points in a 62-24 win over Sayville.

Brett Palo, Harborfields, swimming: The seventh-grader won the 1-meter dive with a 155 to lead a 107-79 win over Huntington.

Craig Lyon, Sachem North, swimming: He won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:07.39 and was part of the winning 200 medley relay team, which finished with a time of 1:44.59, to lead Sachem North to a 99-79 win over North Babylon.
