No distractions, just destruction.

It's a philosophy displayed on the backs of the Syosset bowlers' shirts, and Jaiden Ng executed it to perfection.

Ng rolled a perfect game in Game 5 of a 1,426 series to lead Syosset to the Nassau Division I boys bowling team championship at AMF Garden City Lanes on Saturday. Syosset knocked down a total of 6,364 pins.

"I just wanted to close out all the frames," Ng said. "I wasn't really thinking about it. Towards the last frame, I thought to myself, 'It can happen, it can happen.''"

Everyone in the bowling alley knew Ng was on pace to get the perfect game. With cameras out and the alley silent, Ng stepped up to the lane and delivered the final strike. The crowd erupted into cheers and chants of his name as he celebrated by doing a backflip.

"Every time I bowl a 300, I always do a backflip," Ng said. "So, when I got the 300 this time, I knew I had to do it."

Ng said he didn't feel the pressure. He was more determined to help his team get the win.

"I was relaxed the whole time," he said. "I was just telling myself to throw a good shot."

Syosset advances to the boys bowling state championships at AMF Syracuse Lanes on March 15. And even though Ng has been to state championships for the individual tournament, going up with his teammates makes Saturday's win even more special.

"Bowling with them has been such an honor," Ng said. "I've known my teammates for 10-11 years now. I'm proud of us for seizing the opportunity and taking it."

It will be Syosset's first time in the state tournament in 35 years, according to coach Dean Strohmayer. Clarke finished second, knocking down 6,065 pins.

"I couldn't be prouder of each of their performances today," he said. "They worked hard for this moment, and they showed what they are capable of."

Seaford wins 9th straight title

The dynasty continues for Seaford, as the Vikings knocked down 5,803 pins to capture their ninth consecutive Division II boys title.

The Vikings took a commanding lead by Game 2, knocking down 2,024 pins. Malverne finished second with 4,743 pins.

Senior Ryan Falta knocked down 1,188 pins and had a high game of 255 in Game 6 and senior Andrew Ceraulo had a high game of 254 in Game 3 in a 1,220 series for Seaford.

"Winning our ninth title in a row is amazing," Falta said. "We keep getting better and better every day. We have the potential to win the state championship this year."

Seaford lost by three pins in the state tournament last year. This time, they are looking for redemption.

"Last year was a heartbreaker, and recovering from that was difficult," Ceraulo said. "But this team has the potential even to do better. We have to iron out some things, but I think we can do it."
