West Babylon's Charles Walker rolls 300 in third game of 731 series

Charles Walker had a 300 in the third game of a 731 series to lead West Babylon (4-1) in its 997-936, 987-951, 1,108-905 win over West Islip (1-3) in League I boys bowling Monday.

Walker threw 19 straight strikes starting in the sixth frame of his 226 Game Two. This was the first 300 game for the senior Walker at the high school level, according to coach Frank Riviezzo.

"He was stroking the ball really well and lining up with his feet correctly," Riviezzo said. "He kept burying the pocket -- every ball that he was throwing was a no-doubt strike. It was very impressive. The consistency was there constantly."

Carmine Tardugno had a 268 in the first game of a 736 series for West Islip.
