We’ll need to wait another day to determine the boys lacrosse Nassau Class C champion.

Top-seeded Manhasset and No. 3 South Side was postponed due to weather Wednesday evening in the Nassau Class C final. The game will resume at Hofstra's Shuart Stadium Thursday at 5 p.m.

South Side led, 1-0, with 5:39 remaining in the first period after a lightning strike reading eight miles away from Shuart Stadium. The teams were set to return to the field approximately 40 minutes later when another strike hit the area and the game was called.

Brady West scored Wednesday's only goal.

Manhasset, playing for its third-straight county title, entered with a 13-4 record. South Side, which last won a county title in 2004, is 12-4.

The winner plays Mount Sinai (18-0) in the Long Island Class C championship/Southeast Regional Final at Hofstra Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
