Antonelli, Bohlen key Port Jefferson boys
Vincent Antonelli scored two goals and Blake Bohlen had two assists to lead No. 1 Port Jefferson (15-1-1) over No. 3 Southold, 3-0, to win the Suffolk Class C boys soccer championship at Diamond in the Pines.
Antonelli scored on a header from 7 yards from Casey Abelein's corner in the 3rd minute.
"Our set pieces are working really well right now and Vincent is really strong in the air," Port Jefferson coach John Poulianos said. "We tend to find him and he's finishing."
Bohlen sent a cross inside the 18-yard box and Antonelli buried it for his 21st goal of the season.
Connor Crovello received a through ball from Bohlen and scored from the right side of the 18 in the 78th minute.
Stan Klasek controlled the midfield, setting up the offense and making defensive plays in front of Gabe Davis, who made seven saves in his sixth shutout of the season for the Royals.
"He's the kind of keeper that is going to make the one critical save to turn the game or win the game for you," Poulianos said.
Port Jefferson plays Friends Academy for the Long Island championship at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Diamond in the Pines.
Southold finishes 9-7-2.
