BOYS SOCCERKapper powers Manhasset

Manhasset has been one of the surprising boys teams this season. The Indians (12-1-1, 10-0-1) are undefeated in league and are the Nassau Conference VI champions.

"We're very excited about making some history for Manhasset," coach Noel Gish said.

A key to the season has been Andrew Kapper, who leads Manhasset with 11 goals, which is tied with Lynbrook's Angelo Messina for the Conference VI lead.

"Andrew has really grown up a lot as a player and a teammate and the results on the field this year are a testament to that maturation," Gish said. "He's one of the most dangerous players in Nassau County."
