Epie leads Waldorf to IPPSAL boys final
Axel Epie scored the go-ahead goal off Matt Wasserman's feed with 18:30 left to lead No. 3 Waldorf over No. 2 Lawrence Woodmere, 2-1, Wednesday in an IPPSAL boys soccer semifinal. Waldorf (6-5-2) plays No. 1 Long Island Lutheran in the final at 2 p.m. Friday at Portledge. Lawrence Woodmere finishes the season 7-4-3.
Long Island Lutheran 5, Knox 0: Keegan Petersen had a goal and two assists and Patrick Butigian added a goal and an assist to lead Lutheran (13-0) over No. 4 Knox (7-6-1) in an IPPSAL semifinal.
Sayville 5, Rocky Point 1: Cory Santangelo had two goals and an assist and Chris Siracusa added a goal and two assists for Sayville (12-0) in Suffolk League V. Sayville clinched its first undefeated league season in school history, according to coach Val Winter.
Glenn 4, Bayport-Blue Point 0: Adan Cruz-Velasquez had two goals and an assist and sophomore Joe Deiraimo scored his first varsity goal to lead Glenn (9-2-1) in League VI.
Center Moriches 1, Mattituck 0: Sean Paul scored from 25 yards off a cross from Mike Lemmen 47 seconds into overtime to lead Center Moriches (7-5) in League VII. Jason Albert made 11 saves for the shutout.
Shoreham-Wading River 2, Mount Sinai 1: Greg Canellys scored the winner on a diving header with 5:04 left in overtime for Shoreham-Wading River (8-3-1) in League VI. Vinny Alese fed the ball into the box and Canellys dove in to head it past the keeper.
Greenport/Shelter Island 4, Ross 2: Edwin Arias had a goal and an assist for Greenport/Shelter Island (7-3-2) in League VIII. This is Greenport/Shelter Island's first time qualifying for the playoffs as a Class C team, according to coach Chris Golden.

Holy Trinity 0, Archbishop Molloy 0: Brianna Donlon's shot gave third-seeded Holy Trinity (4-9-1) a 4-3 edge in penalty kicks and the win over No. 2 Molloy in a CHSAA Division A semifinal. Holy Trinity plays at No. 1 Our Lady of Mercy in the final at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Our Lady of Mercy 4, St. Dominic 1: Shannon Brady had two goals and Stefanie Pia had a goal and an assist to lead No. 1 Our Lady of Mercy (11-4) over No. 4 St. Dominic (2-8) in a CHSAA Division A semifinal. Our Lady of Mercy hosts No. 3 Holy Trinity in the final at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
St. John the Baptist 1, St. Francis Prep 0: Sarah Plowman scored with five minutes left in the first half to lead No. 4 SJB (8-6) over No. 5 St. Francis Prep (4-8) in the quarterfinals of the CHSAA Division AA Tournament. SJB will play at No. 1 Kellenberg in a semifinal at 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Sachem East 2, Connetquot 1: Freshman Camille Kelton broke a tie at 1 with 18 minutes left in the second half off a cross from Samantha Turnbull for Sachem East (5-5-2), which qualifies for the playoffs with the League II win.
Northport 1, West Islip 0: Kristi Abbate scored with 11:53 left in the first half to lead Northport (11-0-1) in League II.
North Babylon 3, West Babylon 0: Jessica Eifert scored twice and senior Kelly Heimerle made 16 saves for her fifth shutout of the season and 21st of her career for North Babylon (7-5) in League IV.
