Hicksville wins Class AA title

One day after his birthday, Lucas Munoz celebrated in style. The Hicksville senior scored off a loose ball in front of the goal with 25:42 left in the game to give the Comets a 1-0 win over Webster Schroeder in the state Class AA finals at Middletown High School.
Hicksville won its first state championship since 1979 and it's the second consecutive season Long Island has won the championship. More to come later.
