Connor Koster scored the game-winner as third-seeded Glenn topped Miller Place in penalty kicks, 9-8, after battling to a 1-1 tie in regulation in a Suffolk Class A quarterfinal boys soccer game Thursday.

Mike Letterio scored nine minutes into the game off a feed from Steven Liantonio to give No. 6 Miller Place a 1-0 lead. Adan Cruz-Velasquez scored in the 34th minute, off an assist from Alex Velasquez, to tie the score at 1, forcing the extra sessions. Max Karen had three saves in the win and Noah Varonier had 14 stops for Miller Place.

Glenn (10-5-1) will play at No. 2 East Hampton in a semifinal at 2 p.m. on Monday.

Shoreham-Wading River 3, Westhampton 2: Charles DeMaio scored three minutes into the second overtime for No. 4 Shoreham-Wading River (11-4-2) in a Suffolk Class A quarterfinal. Kevin Turano set up the winner, sending the ball deep over the keeper's head. The ball was tracked down by DeMaio, who put it into the empty goal. DeMaio assisted on the team's other two goals and goalkeeper Evan Kearney made four saves for Shoreham-Wading River.

Eric Hayes and Furkan Akyol each had goals and Jake Ogeka had eight stops for No. 5 Westhampton. Shoreham-Wading River will play at No. 1 Sayville in a semifinal at 2 p.m. on Monday.
