2012 All-Long Island boys cross country

RUNNER OF THE YEAR: STEPHEN BOURGUET
Manhasset, Senior
Bourguet finished highest among LI boys at the state meet in November, placing sixth in the Class B 5K in 16 minutes, 6.3 seconds. He placed tenth at the State Federation meet. Bourguet also won at the Manhattan Invitational and the Nassau Conference Championships. The senior came in third at the Brown Invitational.

MIKE BRANNIGAN
Northport, Sophomore
The sophomore finished in the top 15 at the state federation meet, completing the race in 16:30. His time was a major factor in Northport's fifth place finish at the meet. Brannigan finished first in the 5K run at the Suffolk Division Championships. His 15:56 time was the fastest time in Suffolk County in eight years, according to coach Jason Strom.

ZACH CAMMER
Whitman, Senior
Cammer finished ninth with a time of 16 minutes, 12.8 seconds in the New York Regional Championship race at the Nike Regional Championships on Nov. 24. He also finished third in the 5000 meter run at the Suffolk Division Championships, completing the race in 16:09.40. He finished 11th in the Class A individual race at the state meet, posting a 15:57.6.

JACK CURRAN
Calhoun, Senior
Curran won the 5K race at the Nassau County Championships in 15:53.5. The senior placed first in the second 5K run at the Section I Coaches Invitational at Wappinger Falls. He ran a 4K in 13:26.2 in the second league meet of the year, a personal best and won the third league meet of the year with a time of 16:29.8.

PATRICK GINTY
St. Anthony's, Senior
He finished first at the CHSAA League Championships, finishing the 5K run in 16:38.06. Ginty completed the state federation meet in under 17 minutes and, along with two other teammates, helped St. Anthony's finish first among Long Island schools and third overall. The senior finished in the top four in the 2.5 mile run at the CHSAA Intersectional Championship.

KRIS MORAN
North Babylon, Senior
Moran finished fourth in the 5K run at the Suffolk Division Championships, posting a 16:08.30. His 12:28.80 in the 2.5 mile run at the Manhattan Invitational was a season best Suffolk County time in that event. An early season time of 15:32 in the 3-mile run also held up as the best 3-mile time in Suffolk.

THOMAS SLATTERY
Chaminade, Junior
Slattery finished second at the state federation meet, completing the race in 16:06, the best time on Long Island. Slattery also came in second at the CHSAA Intersectional Championships and first at the Nassau Coaches meet, Manhattan Invitational, and the Suffolk Coaches meet.

RYAN UDVADIA
Shoreham-Wading River, Junior
Udvadia won the Suffolk Coaches Meet, completing the 5K race in 16:16. He finished second in the 5000 meter run at the Suffolk Division Championships with a time of 15:57.10. The junior finished in the top ten in the Class B race at the state meet, finishing in 16:08.8.
