RUNNER OF THE YEAR
THOMAS AWAD
Chaminade, Sr.
Awad was able to reach many of his goals this season, among them was winning the CHSAA Nassau-Suffolk League championship at Sunken Meadow. He followed that up with a second-place finish at the CHSAA Intersectional. He then took third place at the state Federation championships and eighth at the Nike New York Regional. Awad helped the Flyers to a third-place finish at the CHSAA Intersectional as well as a second-place finish at the Nassau-Suffolk League championships.
STEPHEN BOURGUET
Manhasset, Jr.
In addition to winning the Nassau state qualifier, Bourguet was the Nassau Conference III champion, took 14th at the state public schools Class B championship and finished 21st at the Federation, second among L.I. public school runners.
RYAN COLABELLA
Hauppauge, Sr.
Few runners were as consistent as Colabella, who won the Suffolk Coaches Invitational and the Suffolk state Class A qualifier. He was also a winner at the Suffolk Division championships.
MICHAEL DAMATO
Whitman, Jr.
Damato finished seventh at the Suffolk Division championships, took 17th at the state public schools Class A championships -- second among L.I. runners -- and was fourth at the Suffolk state qualifier.
THOMAS DILIBERTO
St. Anthony's, Sr.
Diliberto emerged as one of the top CHSAA runners in the state. He won the St. Anthony's Invitational, finished fourth at the CHSAA Intersectional and was 17th out of 159 runners at the Nike New York Regional.
ADAM LAFEMINA
Bayport-Blue Point, Jr.
LaFemina finished eighth at the Suffolk Division championships, took second at the Suffolk state qualifier, 12th at the state Class B championship and finished among the top 100 at the Federation meet.
KRIS MORAN
North Babylon, Jr.
Moran capped a fine season, taking 15th at the Federation, which was first among L.I. public school runners. He finished second at the Suffolk Division championships and second at the Suffolk state qualifier.
TAYLOR TITCOMB
Port Washington, Sr.
In addition to winning the Nassau Conference I championship, Titcomb ran to a second-place finish at the Nassau state qualifier and took 31st -- fourth among L.I. runners -- at the state Class A championship.
