Valenski making mark
It's been quite a season for Massapequa senior Andrew Valenski.
In addition to being a key member of one of Long Island's top cross country squads with teammates Tim Callahan, Nick DeLuna and Bryan Buttigieg, Valenski has set several school marks and is intent on going out as the "best cross country runner in Chiefs history," coach Jim Ryan said.
Valenski set the school mark in the 5k Sept. 25 at the Six Flags Invitational, taking second overall in 15:49.2. He set a school record in the 4k two days later, taking first in a Nassau Conference meet in 12:52.9.
