Great Neck South's Daniel Siegel finished second in 16:14.1 Saturday as Long Island placed six runners in the top 19 in the Class A race at the NYSPHSAA championships at Lakeside Park in Pawling.

Westbury's Owen Skeete finished seventh in 16:33, Manhasset's Charlie Moris (16:41.3) and Stephen Bourguet (16:45.1) took 11th and 14th, respectively, while Shoreham-Wading River's John Lee was 15th in 16:46.

Eastport-South Manor's Ben Tuttle was 19th in 16:57.5.

Long Island made noise in the Class AA, too.

Sachem East's Alex Saavedra took eighth in 16:17.8, Andrew Valenski of Massapequa finished 10th in 16:22, while Whitman's Zachary Cammer (16:23.9) and James Panetta (16:27.5) of Calhoun finished 12th and 14th.

Other notable finishers in Class AA were Whitman's Mike Damato (16:33.9), who took 21st and Zach Krause (16:36.2) of Connetquot with a 22nd-place finish.

Calhoun's Tim Campbell was 29th in 16:41.9.

In Class B Conor Crowley (Bayport-Blue Point) took fourth in 16:37.7, while Seaford's Matthew Savino finished 11th in 16:44.7.
