Long Island Runner of the Year
Northport, Junior
Brannigan won the New York race at the Nike Cross Regionals in 15:29.9 three weeks after finishing second in Class A at the state meet by three-tenths of a second. Brannigan ran a 15:40 at nationals, good for a top-50 finish. Brannigan won the Suffolk County Championship, clocking a 16:12.61 at the Division Championships. He also won the Class A race at the state qualifier in 15:58.16. |

TOM SLATTERY
Nassau Runner of the Year
Chaminade, Senior
"Slatts", as he's known to his teammates, won both the Nassau-Suffolk CHSAA league title and the CHSAA Intersectional title. He ran a 12:32.40 on Van Cortlandt Park's 2.5 mile course to win the intersectional crown. A 16:23.84 on Sunken Meadow's 5K course won him the league title. The finishes helped Chaminade win the team title at both meets. Slattery's late kick helped him clock a 15:56.3 and take second place at the Federation Championship. |

TYLER ITALIANO
Syosset, Junior
Italiano dominated Nassau when it counted the most. He won the Class I championship at Bethpage State Park in 16:16.9. He also smoked the competition at the county championship, finishing first in 16:18.8. |

SEAN KELLY
Chaminade, Senior
Kelly was the second runner to cross the line in both the Nassau-Suffolk League championship and the CHSAA intersectional championship. Kelly finished sixth at the New York State Federation Championship in 16:03.9. |

TIM MCGOWAN
Northport, Senior
McGowan finished third at the Suffolk Division Championships in 16:33.13 and was second in the Class A race at the Suffolk State Qualifier in 16:31.92. McGowan was 11th in the state Class A race in 15:26. |

LOUIS SANTELLI
St. Anthony's, Senior
Santelli won the St. Anthony's Invitational at Sunken Meadow State Park in 16:40.34. He also won the A race at the Randolph Invitational in 15:51.80. Santelli placed third at the Nassau-Suffolk League Championship meet in 16:25.90. |

Tucker placed eighth at the Federation championship, running a 16:07.7. He was third at the CHSAA Intersectional Championship, completing Van Cortlandt Park's 2.5 mile course in 12:47.45. He qualified for Nike Cross Nationals. |

Udvadia won his first 10 races of the season. He won the 2.5 mile Varsity A race at the Manhattan Invitational in 12:28. Udvadia placed second in the state Class B race, finishing in 15:19.3. |
